General Overview
Wideband is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Supply Chain Specialist. This position involves overseeing various aspects of the supply chain, including procurement of raw materials, kitting for contract manufacturers, receiving purchase orders, packaging products for shipping, delivering raw materials to inventory locations, and conducting inventory cycle counting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MRP, procurement, or inventory control, and have excellent multitasking skills as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, & Outlook). Experience with MRP/ERP software will be given special consideration as the organization is planning to transition to Costpoint ERP in 2024.
This position is to be filled onsite in Silver Spring, MD.
Principle Duties
Procurement:
- Procure raw materials in accordance with production schedules and quality standards.
- Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement.
Kitting for Contract Manufacturers:
- Perform the kitting process for raw materials to be sent to contract manufacturers.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure accurate and timely execution of kitting process.
Shipping & Receiving:
- Package products for shipping, ensuring compliance with shipping regulations and customer requirements.
- Receive and process purchase orders, verifying accuracy and completeness.
- Oversee the shipping and receiving area, maintaining organized and efficient processes.
Delivery to Inventory Warehouses:
- Deliver raw materials to various inventory locations within the facility.
- Ensure timely and accurate transfer of materials to meet inventory needs.
Inventory Cycle Counting:
- Conduct regular cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory levels.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies, implementing corrective measures as needed.
Other tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Experience in procurement, inventory control, or a related field.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 75 lbs.
- Familiarity with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems.
- Skilled with Microsoft Excel.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal teams.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
This position may require exposure to information, which is subject to US export control regulations, i.e., the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). All applicants must be “U.S. persons” within the meaning of U.S. regulations.
Education
A degree is not required for this position, but relevant work experience in procurement, inventory, or shipping & receiving is strongly preferred.
Compensation
- Salary Range: $65,000-$80,000 annually (based on experience)

About Wideband: Our Technology & Products
Wideband recorders capture raw signals and instrumentation data in the analog and digital domains for archival, reproduction, and analysis. A range of RF/IF signals are natively recorded and/or demodulated and the extracted digital data recorded. A wide array of standard interfaces and formats in the digital domain is supported via the modular system design that allows interface boards to be exchanged between any model recorder. All data is recorded in IRIG 106 Chapter 10/11 format onto removal RAIDs that can also be interchanged between recorders. Recorded data is faithfully reproduced with accurate timing during playback for analysis via native signal reconstruction or TMoIP over Ethernet.
